An intensive one-day BS 5839-1 fire detection and alarm systems design course taught by an industry expert. Attendees will develop further the knowledge gained from our foundation course and/or their own industry experience in system design.
Description
C-TEC’s one-day BS 5839-1 fire detection and alarm design course explores the processes of system design and responsibilities with use of appropriate records, certificates and specifications. Learners will put into practice their knowledge of detection, call points, alarms, and categories and a practical assessment on the design of a fire system to the requirements of BS 5839-1 to an agreed specification is included. The course covers the following:

Delegates will be assessed at the end of the course and a certificate of achievement worth 8 CPD hours will be presented to all those who pass. On successful completion of all C-TEC’s BS 5839-1 courses, learners can then choose to sit an exam to gain an industry-recognised qualification through FireQual, the specialist awarding body for the fire protection sector in the UK.
